On April 27, 2022, China Quality Certification Center revised the "Safety Certification Rules for Secondary Batteries and Battery Packs for Portable/Fixed Electronic Equipment".

This change is reflected in seven aspects:

1. The name is changed to "Safety Certification Rules for Secondary Batteries and Battery Packs for Portable/Fixed Electronic Equipment";

2. The scope of application increases secondary batteries and battery packs for stationary electronic equipment;

3. GB40165-2021 is added to the certification basis standard, and IEC62133:2012 and GB/T28164-2011 are deleted;

4. Add 5.3 inspection conclusion;

5. The validity period of the certificate is revised to 5 years;

6. Amend 8 review requirements;

7. The certification mark is changed to "CQC basic certification mark".

The fixed electronic equipment listed above does not include all equipment, so the products not listed are not necessarily excluded from the scope of application of this implementation rule.

Lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Emergency Power Supply (EPS), etc. are also covered by this Implementing Rule.
