Korea KCC certification

Certification Introduction

The full name of KCC in South Korea is Korea Communication Commission, which is the Korea Communication Commission. In accordance with the provisions of Article 33 of Korea’s Basic Law on Electrical and Communication and Article 46 and Article 57 of the Radio Wave Act, a certification system for broadcasting and communication equipment has been established. The products specified in Article 3 should obtain KCC certification in advance.

The KCC mark evolved from the MIC mark. As the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) replaced the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) in the past, the certification name was changed accordingly. KCC came into effect on November 11, 2008, and will evolve into the KC mark on January 1, 2011.

KCC addresses the electromagnetic compatibility requirements of information products, and controls the certification of wireless transmission and communication products, including electrical communication equipment, radio frequency products, information technology equipment, etc. The KCC mark is a certification mark issued by the Korea Radio Research Agency (RRA).
