The national ROHS certification is a certification that the country promotes to control and reduce the environmental pollution caused by electronic information products after they are discarded. The purpose of ROHS certification is to reduce or eliminate lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in electronic information products. The national RoHS certification system adopts a unified product catalog, unified certification technical specifications, certification rules and conformity assessment procedures, and a unified logo principle.
In 2018, nine ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, including the Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology, compiled the "Electrical and Electronic Products Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances Compliance Management Catalog (first batch)" and the "Standard Compliance Management Catalog Restricted Substances Application Exception List", requiring that the products included in the catalog, The content of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers should meet the relevant standards for the restricted use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products, and be included in the management system of the conformity assessment management system for the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products.
The national ROHS will be enforced on November 1, 2019. All products listed in the Catalogue of Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products (First Batch) shall meet the requirements of the national ROHS regulations.
The country promotes ROHS-certified laboratory institutions
Only laboratories authorized by the Certification and Accreditation Administration to do RoHS certification inspection work in the country can undertake the inspection work. Kezheng Group obtained the contracted laboratory of the relevant national certification agency & the first batch of mandatory national ROHS sampling inspection units.
What are the benefits of the company's national promotion of ROHS certification
Reduction and exemption of enterprises' collection of waste electrical and electronic products disposal fund;
Prioritize inclusion in the government procurement plan;
Enhance the competitiveness of products in the market.
The country promotes the ROHS certification model
Mode 1: Type test + post-certification supervision [applicable parts and component products, material products]
Mode 2: Sampling test + post-certification supervision [applicable parts and component products]
Mode 3: Optimization test + post-certification supervision [applicable to complete machine products and component products]
Mode 4: Sampling test + initial factory inspection + post-certification supervision [all products within the scope of applicable rules]
The first batch of ROHS (category 12) compulsory products: refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, electric water heaters, printers, copiers, fax machines, televisions, monitors (including monitors, display screens, etc.), microcomputers (including Desktop computers, notebooks, tablet computers, etc.), mobile communication handsets, telephone stand-alone.
The national ROHS certificate covering 12 categories of products is valid for 5 years and needs to be subject to regular supervision and spot checks every year.
